David Smith serves as the CEO for KONEXUS. He is responsible for the day to day operations of the business including sales, strategy, marketing, customer success, and the financial oversite of the business.
David is a recognized senior level executive with nearly 20 years of experience leading teams within large, enterprise-scale organizations. His experience is rooted in publicly traded companies where he was responsible for a billion-dollar P&L. He has also led early stage teams, along with effectively scaling numerous mid-sized organizations.
Prior to KONEXUS, David served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Field Operations for Collabnet, where he helped the company grow and drive a recent merger with VersionOne. He also served as a Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Enterprise Success Officer at Whitehat Security, where he helped double sales in three years, and launch European operations. David has also held Vice President of Sales roles at GoGrid, EdgeWave, 3Com and FrontRange Solutions. He was a key member of the FrontRange executive team, responsible for driving revenue up from $60 million to $130 million, which led to the company’s successful sale.
Randy Grohs serves as the CTO and VP of R&D for KONEXUS. He manages technology strategy,system architecture, road-map planning and software development for the company.
Randy has 30 years of software R&D experience and holds 13 patents. In addition to serving in software architecture and management roles for 3 successful startups, he has also served in R&D management and senior technologist roles for a Fortune 50 technology company.
Prior to joining KONEXUS, Randy was in HP’s CTO office serving as Chief Technologist, Software, Solutions & Services, where he led software initiatives across multiple HP business groups and participated in multiple M&A projects. Randy’s HP career spanned 20 years in various roles, including Engineer/Scientist, R&D manager and Distinguished Technologist, serving on the TCP review board and TechCon committee; and in various organizations including advanced technology / research groups, multiple product teams, solutions & services organizations and most recently, the CTO office. During his time at HP, Randy briefly worked on a side project for a Biotech startup Montigen Pharmaceuticals, which was acquired by Supergen in 2007. Before HP, Randy spent 9 years at two successful startups, both of which were acquired by HP. When he’s not at work, you might find Randy playing music in his recording studio or crushing the ball on the tennis court.
Lee Wells serves as the VP of Sales and Marketing for KONEXUS. He leads the sales team and is responsible for the sales and marketing process and results, from creating interest to the closing of deals.
Lee has 20+ years of marketing and sales leadership experience and has led sales team for 100+ companies, ranging from Fortune 50 to start-ups, including: Google, Microsoft, Intel, Samsung, Sony and Cisco.
Prior to KONEXUS, Lee served as Sr. Director of Enterprise Sales at CollabNet. He has also served as Sr. Director of Sales at FireEye, where he was responsible for $750M in renewal revenue. Lee spent 17 years at MarketStar, a sales BPO, where he was instrumental in growing the company from $50M to $250M. He established MarketStar’s B2B division and grew it from $5M to over $100M.
Susan Don serves as Vice President Partner Development and Strategic Alliances for KONEXUS. She is responsible for building a partner ecosystem that will accelerate revenue growth into new markets.
Susan has over two decades of experience as a security sales leader and strategic business development professional. Over her career she has worked with several companies in various stages of start-up with responsibility for generating new business in highly competitive markets, domestically and abroad, and developing strategy and sales infrastructure to support scalable revenue growth.
Prior to KONEXUS, Susan served as VP North American Channel Development for WhiteHat Security. In this role, Susan was responsible for setting strategy to achieve revenue goals through increased partner revenue contribution. She has also served as Director Global Partner Go-to-Market Strategy for Cisco Systems where partner growth was central to Cisco doubling its annual security revenue to $2B. Susan earned a BA degree in Business from Redlands University and has maintained Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification since 2005.
Curtis serves as the VP of Customer Experience for KONEXUS. He leads the customer service team and is responsible for customer onboarding and on-going support for all business segments.
He has 30+ years of customer and developer support experience, with 28 of those years working for Hewlett-Packard’s LaserJet Printer and Indigo Digital Press Technical Marketing organizations. During the early portion of his time there, he contributed to the success of the LaserJet Products as Technical Team Lead in the LaserJet Customer Service organization, and subsequently the LaserJet Developer Programs organization.
Prior to joining KONEXUS, Curtis served as the lead custom software solutions technical consultant for HP Indigo’s Technical Marketing group. He was responsible for the overall support experience many of HP Indigo’s largest clients who provided digital press printing services for Blurb, Apple iBooks, Shutterfly and Snapfish.
